Women Building Community
Women Building Community promotes philanthropy by building an endowment that supports local programs helping women and children of Brazoria County.

Every year, Women Building Community makes grants to local non-profits whose programs address women’s and children’s issues. Grants also focus attention on important local issues – especially those affecting women and children.
 
At Christmas time Women Building Community Hosts their annual Mrs. Santa Claus Party at a local historic home.  The Community is invited to bring diapers and baby items to donate to local food pantries and agencies with progams directly helping infants.
 

Total grant funds including this year's funds have been over $37,000.  This year's grant recipients were:

 

  • Brazosport College Continuing Education

 

  •  Grandparents as Parents

 

  • White's Cottage

 

  • Brazos Place
