Community Foundation of Brazoria County
The purpose of the Women Building Community (WBC) fund is to work together to fund programs and provide resources and activities for women and children. The WBC mission is to bring together a coalition of caring Brazoria County woman who are actively involved in giving back to the community.
The WBC Charitable Giving Fund makes immediate grants and donations while the WBC Endowment Fund continues to ensure grants in the future.
The 2024 WBC Grant recipients were awarded their checks during the Annual WBC Garden Party held at the Doris Williams Civic Center in Lake Jackson on 3 October 2024.

The 2024 recipients were: Brazoria County Dream Center, Brazosport College Foundation, Pearland PTS's Swap Shop program, Refuge for Women Texas Gulf Coast, River of Hope, and True to Life Ministries.
Building Community. You are invited to become involved in Women Building Community, and as a voting member you pledge to make a minimum gift of $1,000 per year for a period of 5 years. Payments may be made quarterly, annually, or as a lump sum.

Mr. Merkel is the Senior Technical Asset Manager at Plus Power and the company representative who first reached out to Debby Soltesz, Executive Director, of the Community Foundation of Brazoria County.

Ms. Emerson is the Senior Director of Development Operations for Plus Power and is responsible for shepherding projects through site origination and local permitting.
Ivan Nzouatcham of Plus Power and Mike Coburn, CFBC.
Mr. Nzouatcham is a Real Time Power Trader for Plus Power.
Paul Spracklen of Tesla and Mike Coburn, CFBC.
Mr. Spracklen is Product Safety/Quality Commercial Service Project Manager at Tesla specializing in, among other things, Power Storage.
